Dear Texas Watermelon Association Members,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share an important update regarding membership dues for the upcoming year.

After thoughtful discussion, the Texas Watermelon Association Board of Directors voted on changes to our membership dues structure during our Annual Convention on Saturday, November 9, 2025. This decision was made after careful consideration of rising operational expenses and a desire to create a more equitable system for all members.

Previously, membership dues were set at $300 per person or company. Moving forward, we are implementing the following adjustments:

Individual Membership: $200 annually
Company Membership: $600 annually

This updated structure is designed to better reflect the resources and membership benefits received on a per-person basis, ensuring greater fairness across our membership.

Additionally, dues will now be collected in the spring rather than during convention registration in November. This change will help streamline administrative processes and provide clarity for members when planning for convention participation, as you will already know your membership status and applicable rates.

In the coming weeks, you will receive an invoice from TWA QuickBooks. If you are a current member, please take a moment to ensure your contact information is accurate and up to date on our website and with our Secretary and Promotions Coordinator, Barbara Duda.
